WHO IS FREE CHRISTIAN CHURCH?
Free Christian is not a denomination, but a movement. We are a community of people from all different ages, backgrounds, denominations, and skill sets placed together for the purpose of building the Kingdom of God. We are a church not defined by a building. Allowing fellowship, worship, ministry and The Gospel. Church structures facilitate the role of God’s people, but they do not fulfill it. The people do! We never look to just be a busy church, but a church with IMPACT! The Church, with Christ as our Head and our Supreme Authority fulfills the needs of our neighbors, both locally and globally. We offer many opportunities to serve, educate, worship, and fellowship. This is all pursued with one central purpose, Christ. We don’t believe in the gimmicks of the world, but stand on the truth that if we lift up the name of Christ He will draw all men unto Him. We are a church committed to God and walking in obedience to Him.
SALVATION
We teach that salvation is a work of God by grace through faith (Ephesians 2) based upon the work of Christ on the cross and not our own works. Salvation makes us members of the body of Christ. The Church is made up of ALL believers who has accepted Christ as their Savior. We join the life of the Church not by denominations or human organizations, but by repentance and fully committing ourselves to Christ and the work of His Kingdom.
Being a Christian is more than identifying yourself with a particular religion or moral system. Being a Christian is to embrace all of scripture, what it says about God, man, sin, Christ and salvation.
We believe that God is the Sovereign Creator.
We believe God is Holy.
We believe man is sinful.
We believe that the wages of sin is death.
We believe Jesus is Lord and Savior.
We believe that Faith is always accompanied by repentance. Repentance is agreeing with God that we are sinful, confessing our sins to Him, making a choice to turn from our sins, pursuing Christ and being obedient to His Word.
THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God: fully sufficient, inerrant and inspired. We believe in the 66 books given to us by the Holy Spirit. We believe that it is alive and active. (Hebrews 4:12) We believe that it is God-breathed and relevant in all aspects of life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The application of God’s word is key to living a pure and holy life. (Psalm 119:9).
While all Christians may not agree on everything, we recognize the spirit of Christ in each other and agree upon the authority of the scripture. Jesus is our common foundation and love is our only creed!
